Another week, another visit to Deja Vu. This one would be a farewell of sorts for the Dimms. With Lester (moi) off for Thailand and Morley relocating to Asia after my return, this would be our final visit as a duo for quite a long while.
We went with high spirits, figuring that we'd be seeing at least a couple of our favorite waitresses. Arriving at 9:30, we were eager to see Rachel and Gabrielle. We entered...
Two waitresses. Neither are familiar though the one behind the bar gives us a huge smile as if she knows us.
We take our usual seats and the other waitress comes over. She's nice. They all are without exception but I've forgotten her name. A few minutes later the other waitress - the one who smiled at us - comes over and introduces herself: Maria.
Wow! Tremendous personality. Huge smile. Cute too. Maria - Welcome to the Dimm Brothers' Waitress Roster.
We question Maria bout who'd be on the 10 shift change. She wasn't sure except for maybe Lindsay (or is it, Lindsey? He DJV, how about a waitress RTRC sometime!).
10:00 rolls around. Maria goes off shift giving us a loud farewell from across the room. Nice.
In comes the 10:00 shift. Don't recognize her, nor her...is that Gabby? Nope. 4 new faces and 1 more...Lindsay!!!
One of the new girls comes over to check up on us. Sweet smile, super cute, petite. Nice to meet you too Evelyn.
But the burden of keeping the Dimms awash in cola fell to Lindsay and she took on that burden with an electric smile and unmatchable personality. That loud thumping wasn't the bass line of the song playing, that was our hearts pounding every time she walked by and smiled at us.
And when the Waitresss went to clean the stage...of all that is Holy...what a show!!! Lindsay simply climbing and cleaning the poles proved more appealing than the pro pole dancers.
Notice I don't mention the dancers? They were there too but we preferred watching Lindsay do her micro-shimmies. For sheer sexy we watched Lindsay and Evelyn. Sorry dancers. The Waitresses have you beat.
When we left we tipped Lindsay nicely for making our final DJV run memorable.
The DJ Sal was on as always and the dancer TrainWreck was off. OK, we watched her like you watch a bad horror film. You don't wanna but you still do. Like watching the needle go in when getting a shot. you know it's going to hurt but you can't avert your eyes.
Second week in a row the manager came over to see if there was anything we wanted, most likely because we were not watching the stage but searching for the waitresses. Kind of suspicious I guess, two guys looking around the room, casing the joint.
Next time we visit DJV as a duo we want the following Waitresses waiting for us: Lindsay, Rachel, Gabrielle, Mary, Maria, Evelyn...and to them we say: THANK YOU!!!
