Morley and I just saw a film at the Arclight Cinemas in Sherman Oaks and reminisced about the Pussycat Theaters and how there's now no adult theaters around. Nothing worth mentioning at least. Morley suggested a high-end adult cinema, one where you get your food and drinks, a dance perhaps, and a movie.
It's a good question but would it be good business? Would it be enough to drag people off the Internet porn sites. I think it would depend on the quality of the movies and the cost. Internet porn is essentially free. What's lacking is the convenience. Unless you have your computer hooked up to a large screen monitor in your bedroom, you're either watching porn on a small screen while sitting on a chair, or you rent/buy your porn from a video store. I think the stores are suffering too so I'm going with small screen internet porn.

How then, to coax people out to an adult film? Perhaps offer it as a club-type atmosphere with limited seating or as a true club so you can offer much "more". I don't know. Any thoughts out there or are adult theaters, strip clubs, and video stores being strangled by net porn?
