DJV Disappoints

Perhaps we waited too long. Perhaps our expectations were too high and it was a set-up for a let-down. Morley and I had been building up the Legend of Stephanie to Brother Randy for 2 months and finally Randy and I had time to go see her at DJV - NoHo.

She wasn't there. We were. Saturday night. 9:30 to 11:00 - no waitress shift change and we left because, despite our best efforts to stay, we couldn't take it anymore.

When the highlight of the evening was seeing Trainwreck actually attempt a move on the pole and even remove her bottoms, then you know a new low has been hit.

We got more entertainment watching the customers interact with the dancers: The guy slouched at the stage who'd throw money in from a seemingly endless pile. The dude at a nearby table who would wheel his chair over to the stage, toss some bucks, and then wheel back. The couple at another nearby table who we couldn't figure out if they were a real couple or if she were merely hired help. Either way, she didn't look too involved.

And yet DJV was packed. I guess the Pokemon GO phenomenon only goes so far, or maybe there was a Lapras  in the club.

Randy and I both agreed that, of the dancers, the tall, short-haired one with a very nice body and pretty face captured out attention but her lack of "Game" - not smiling on stage, lack of contact - offset the other measures, and certainly wasn't enough to qualify the evening as a worthwhile venture.

Even the waitresses - the real reason to visit DJV - let us down. There were four of them and, while friendly enough, only one did we consider Dimm Bros acceptable but just barely.

At least we didn't pay full price to get in and we didn't get hassled for drinks so being out $10 each for an hour-and-a-half of sub-par entertainment wasn't too bad.

But has DJV-NoHo lost the #1 spot as the best Adult Entertainment venue in the Valley?
